WHY SILK?
Each 9 O FIVE dress is made from 100% natural silk or silk blend fabric selected by Eglė herself and sourced from her travels around the world. Prized by fashion designers for its luxurious lustre, softness and durability, silk has natural anti-microbial properties, evaporating moisture easily in warm weather and retaining body heat when it gets chilly. Silk does not need to be cleaned often and its fabric is easily ventilated, so silk garments are long-lasting and sustainable.
CARING AFTER YOUR DRESS
Unlike synthetics, natural silk rarely needs to be washed, as it is often enough to air it naturally, preferably outside. If you choose to wash your silk garment, cold water and hand washing with a special silk detergent is recommended. Silk clothing does not need to be ironed, but can simply be hung on a hanger and allowed to dry naturally. Once the garment has wrinkled, silk can be steamed on the inside using the lowest temperature setting. For best results we recommend dry cleaning for 9 O FIVE dresses.
THE DESIGN
The Silhouette – it is inspired by the 1940s, so it's friendly to a truly feminine figure and accentuates it gracefully. The design of the dress guarantees that the garment is not tight and leaves room for movement, but fits the body elegantly. Durable and timeless, the design of the dress will not age, will not go out of fashion and will allow you to enjoy the garment on different occasions.
The Collar - The ornate collar reveals the feminine character of the dress. We also offer several neckline variations: a regular neckline will allow you to show off your favourite jewellery but avoid an overly sexy feel, while a more subtle shirt neckline will be suitable for a more subtle look.
The Sleeves - lightly puffed sleeves allowed us not to use shoulder pads, so the dress remains light and comfortable. Both shorter and longer sleeves taper slightly to subtly accentuate the arms.
The Lining - silk lining ensures that the dress does not show through. The extra layer of silk adds extra weight to the garment and helps the dress to fall right and fit more gently.
Buttons and ribbons - selected by Eglė during her travels to major fashion hotspots, these small elements are individually selected for each dress. The buttons are embellished to be noticed and create the effect of miniature jewellery.
